The Poetry of Rumi

This poetic offering of heart wisdom from the mystic poet Jelaluddin Rumi (1207-1273) is appropriately presented "carved in stone", as these timeless truths continue to reveal the power and sweetness of the metaphorical perspective on life. At the age of 37, Rumi encountered the mysterious wandering dervish, Shams of Tabriz. From that relationship came the spontaneous river of his poetry. These sacred words invite us into the realm of the Divine.

"John Mowen's work putting stone and Rumi's words together feels inspired to me, pure and deep. They're reminders of silence and meditation, Alters to the dawn."
