Our microwave pizza recipe is an easy microwave meal that’s simple and fun for kids to make all on their own! Made with pizza dough, pizza sauce, veggies, and plenty of cheese! It takes under 5 minutes to make. Gluten-free.

This microwave mug pizza recipe is a fun summer lunch idea that kids can make on their own. What child doesn’t love pizza? I have yet to meet one!

How To Make

Using store-bought pizza dough topped with marinara, cheese, and veggies, these microwave mug pizzas are popped it into the microwave for just 1 minute. That’s it. Lunch is served!

Equipment

  • wide mouth mug or bowl
  • Pizza Cutter
  • measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 1/8of a store-bought pizza crustWholly Gluten-Free makes a pizza dough
  • 2-3tablespoonsmarinara sauce✅
  • 2-3tablespoonsshredded mozzarella cheese✅
  • diced peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms or veggies of choice

Instructions

  • Prep the dough.Cut pizza dough into squares using a pizza cutter. Place pizza dough into wide mouth mug or bowl.1/8 of a store-bought pizza crust
  • Top the crust.Top dough with marinara sauce, cheese, and veggies.2-3 tablespoons marinara sauce,2-3 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese,diced peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms or veggies of choice
  • Cook. Microwave for 1 minute, or until cheese is melted and dough cooked through.

This mug pizza recipe can easily be made in a microwave-safe bowl for a great cold lunch idea. Kids can microwave the pizza at school for one minute to have a freshly baked mug pizza for lunch!

    When I see “store-bought pizza dough,” I generally think of raw dough, refrigerated or frozen. But I’m assuming this recipe calls for already-baked dough, because there is no way that raw dough will cook through in a microwaved minute!
