Is the Royal Guard Set good? ›

The Royal Guard Armor has no base effects, but when the full set is equipped and upgraded to at least two stars, you'll get a Charge Attack Stamina Up set bonus, lowering the stamina requirement for a charge attack.

It's supposedly one of the best shields in the game to block attacks, but at the same time it has low durability so it ends breaking soon.

The Zoul armor is arguably the best set in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, offering pieces in Helmet, Body Plate, Arm Armor, and Leg Plate slots. It has the best Helmet and Body Plate in the game.

The trade-off is that the Guards have all-around lower statistics except for speed. Guards' shields can survive a Zap up to 2 levels higher. Guards are great for defending against the Graveyard, since they are more durable than regular Skeletons and have a longer range.
